The Astronomy club of Faculty Engineering serves as a platform for the students to nurture interest in Astronomy and Astrophysics. It acts as a base for all amateur astronomers to share their experience and do astronomy related activities. The principal aim is to popularize the cosmic activities among the students community in the university. It helps in the exchange of information and spreading of general awareness about various astronomical events. It aspires to inculcate scientific temper among the students of engineering by introducing concepts of Science through a process of inquiry and experimentation. The regular activities are sky watching, conducting seminar, quiz, poster presentation, interactive multimedia sessions, visit to National astronomical lab and many more.

Rotaract club caters to various needs of student community by conducting various events that develop their potential skills and to the public through various projects like tree plantation, Blood donation camps, Medical camps and outreach programmes.
Tamil Club - TAMIL MANDRAM
Tamil Mandram was started in the year 2005. Activities like oratorical, essay writing, drawing, poetry competitions are conducted regularly for all the students. Tamil Mandram students are participating in various events conducted by other institutions like Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidhyalaya, Bannari Amman Institute of Technology etc.,
Special lectures by eminent tamil personalities are organized for the occasions like Bharathiar birthday, Bharathiar memorial day, Vivekanandhar birthdayand at regular intervals for Tamil Mandram members.
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian Government sponsored public servic program aimed at developing students' personality through community service.National Service scheme is one of the most important curricular component of the under graduate programme in our university. University adopts villages and the students regularly perform special activities, awareness programmes cum seminar etc., in the adopted villages. They undergo one week special camp during their 3rd or 4th semester of study. NSS is an effective curricular component, which develops personality and leadership quality of every student who enters the portals of our university. The NSS certificate fetches considerable marks during employment process.
